After listening to the audio and being very moved by this collection I reread a physical copy & I loved the illustrations. I caught many more suggestions this time which leads me to feel highly confident that the majority of these poems represent Machine Gun Kelly. While the author claims only the 2 ending poems about miscarriage are about her finance, I think there’s plenty of receipts to match up to many of her poems in this collection which would say otherwise. My own morbid curiosity gets fascinated with the dark complexities of toxic relationships and this dangerous balance of love and abuse. Though it is heartbreaking to think that the author is still in this situation and perhaps this book isn’t quite the coming out she planned it to be at regaining her voice.
