- It's fundamentally a very short book originally meant for children, and I'll always be biased against that as an adult reader.
- Prose was pretty good though considering the above.
- Good storytelling overall; the plot kept flowing.
- Hagrid still best boi.
- Starting to let myself just enjoy the whimsy of it all, though.
- I also watched the movies so many freaking times as a kid that the first two books just read like 'scripts' for them, in a way – it was quite a strange experience in that regard.
