Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold by C.S. Lewis, C.S. Lewis

5.0

Breathtaking

This is my first read of a non-Narnia C.S. Lewis work. It did not disappoint. The story itself was wonderful. I love retellings of Greek mythology (Circe is brilliant).

Most artful was the way Lewis subtly weaved theological allegory and themes into Till We Have Faces. Orual’s realization of her own decades of self-deception is certainly something we all can relate to, as we age and grow to see a world outside of ourselves.

I loved everything about this book.
