this is lowkey my ideal romance book. plenty of gen z references and really nice song references without being too awkward. really liked the character development because it was really starting to get on my nerves.
i took off a .25 because with a name like wes i can’t really picture a hot guy
overall a good story and i actually felt really touched by the mom bit. i wish her dads character was a bit more developed though. the romance was great and i loved the banter. favorite trope of all time is the pining after for years, then enemies to lovers then friends to lovers. this has got to be at least two of those three tropes. the writing was not too wordy and easy to digest and i enjoyed the high school feel of it. like the characters were realistically high school, yk?
