I thoroughly enjoyed how infatuated and obsessed Ares was with Neve. The whole “touch her and i kill you” vibe is always great, but this had the “talk to my wife like that and i’ll throw you off the balcony” vibe which was top tier. It wasn’t much of a slow burn which i do usually prefer, but it was done at a speed that i think was perfect for the plot.

I enjoyed the start of this series. I’ve read most of the other books in this series as i’m coming back to edit this review, and i have rated this one less then the others due to it being the start of the storyline so there isn’t as much depth as the others, but i still enjoyed it thoroughly!
