One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
by Ken Kesey
In a strictly run Ohio Mental Hospital the inmates are kept medicated, living in constant fear of Nurse Ratched and her favourite threat - electric shock therapy.
But when cool guy - conman McMurphy is admitted, he starts a rebellion.
This book was a part of my re-read list.
Books that I read in highschool that were due for a re-read, and I enjoyed it as much as I did all those years ago.
The books narrator Chief Bromden is described as a 6'7 or 6'8 man who "used to be big, but not no more" having been belittled his whole life this mountain of a man makes himself as small as possible feigning deafness so as to hide his voice completely. With the arrival of McMurphy we see Bromdem slowly reclaim his strength.
