The Meet Cute Method by Portia MacIntosh
5.0
Style Life magazines new editor is clearing house and Frankie is hanging on by a tether. Her top-of-the-head panic pitch is to try to pick up guys using the old Meet Cute tropes, meaning she has to set up a lot of fake situations and try to get dates.
This was actually a laugh out loud funny book! Frankie’s failed meet cutes are genuinely hilarious, especially the ones with the broken pen and the dog. I adored Frankie, and I was smitten with Max. This is hands down Portia’s best book!
Tropes: all of them! Hilariously done to hit every trope she could think of
