A Murder Is Announced by Agatha Christie

4.0

"A joke? It is not a joke to murder someone."

As the title says, a murder is announced in the local gazette. The community assumes its a murder mystery game and gathers curiously at the indicated site. Curiosity is heightened when an actual murder takes place at the exact time as declared before. Agatha Christie throws in the usual super-effective red herring and keeps you guessing till the end (Assuming you didn't watch the TV mini-series and recollected the murderer as I did). Nevertheless, I absolutely adore her style of mystery writing and have been hooked onto her books for years.

If I read for pleasure, it's mostly Christie.

Note: I discovered that 'pukka' is in the english dictionary although informal. Just another loanword borrowed indefinitely by my colonial masters.
