At first, it felt like I was reading three different stories at one time but towards the very end of the book, it started to come together. I’m a little disappointed that one of the murders was never solved, it’s almost as if the author got wrapped up in the second murder and forgot about the first. Either way, it was still enjoyable and the first thing I would classify as “horror” compared to the last few books I’ve read that are in that genre. I would be interested to see how this writer evolves and what they create next.
