East of Troost by Ellen Barker

Did not finish book. Stopped at 22%.

This book needed and EDITOR. Sweet Holy ADHD writing. If it isn't technically steam of consciousness it is close. Like a run on sentence of a book. Someone needed to say, "it's ok not to tell the reader exactly how many times you had to check the oven to make sure it wasn't leaking gas or how many trips it took you to the store to actually have everything you needed." 

Being from the KC area and working in KC now, I was so excited when my book club chose this book. Now I have to show up and admit defeat.
