I loved the writing of the story but the rape and SA that happened not too far into the story really triggered me. There was no content warning and it really threw me because it had been marketed as a light hearted romance story that would be a nice palate cleanser from dark and scary stories. While I understand why it’s important to talk about, I just really wish there was a warning beforehand since I’ve had personal experience with the themes. Overall though, well written book. Maybe I’ll be able to finish it one day but it was too much for me right now.
