The Weary Blues by Langston Hughes

4.0

My third ever poetry book. First was Bo Burnham's Egghead, and second was Andrea Gibson's Madness Vase. I enjoyed this. Listened to some of it while driving and I might go listen to some more. First book I ever listened to. He has some jazz centered poems that took me back to jazz band memories. Some powerful cultural experience ones. And some moving romance that inspired me to write more.

My favorites were: Epilogue, Disillusion, After Many Springs, Sea Calm, Ardella, and Songs to the Dark Virgin.
