Echo Burning (Jack Reacher, #5) by Lee Child

4.0

"Echo Burning" by Lee Child is a story that follows Jack Reacher in a complex situation within a small Texan town after encountering a young woman named Carmen Greer.

"Echo Burning" is a fast-paced thriller novel that keeps you on the edge of your seat and captivates you with the revelation of the story/ investigation.

Lee Child does a nice job weaving in authentic moments and events about domestic violence or the separation of Hispanics and Whites, creating a layer of realism in the novel that allows readers to relate to the characters and the story.

What I feel could have been done better was the last chapter. It felt like it was dragged on to create tension within the final moments of the novel's conclusion, but it felt unnecessary and could have been omitted.

Overall, "Echo Burning" is a page-turner from start to finish with the perfect mix of action, suspense and intrigue. It's a must-read for crime/thriller enthusiasts.
