Three Floors Up by Eshkol Nevo

5.0

"We just want to be a normal country with normal problems" one Israeli said during the first intifada. Or maybe it was during the second intifada, or during one of the many attacks or counterattacks that occurred in this small, tough, beautiful country.

In this set of three intertwined novellas, three narrators tell stories that might occur in a "normal" country: tales of suspicion and mistrust, hopes raised and dashed, complications revealed and judgments rescinded.

I can't give you more details without spoiling the stories. Go read the book!
