Another delightful and delicious romantasy read from Broadbrant. Her unique writing style (less noticeable here in her earlier books) crafts a world of magic, intrigue, and revenge. Following Aelin 2.0 we embark on an adventure that moves at a surprisingly quick pace. Aelin 2.0 - complete with whip scars and a penchant for plotting - has a decidedly less annoying personality and actually relies on token hot brooding man. Filled with a classic but entertaining fantasty plot line and sprinkled with just enough romantic angst, I had a hard time putting this one down. 4.5/5 and SMUT 🌶️
