I hear that the book can be tedious at times but that's where I think it glows - what is life and what are relationships but a collection of grocery trips, meals, routines, concerts, shared music, etc? My guy was trying so hard to just be normal and what could be more normal. I thought the author did a great job of not making Henry creepy UNTIL the 18th birthday scene. Niffenegger spends 75% of the book being totally fine and then is like here is the MOST explicit sex scene of the book quickly followed up by another at like 95%. I didn't need or want either, thanks!! The side characters were bland and weird at times (complaint) and I HATED Gomez (intended by author).
