Dare I say… my favorite of the series so far?? I am an unapologetic grumpy/sunshine lover, and this delivered in spades! The tension between Alex and Auzed is tangible from the second that they meet (even through their subsequent house arrest & interrogations, lol) and Aveline actually managed to make me crave Auzed’s emotional vulnerability right alongside Alex. Watching them both open up and explore an emotional connection as both friends and romantic partners was so tender. And it was so fun to get to be in a city that wasn’t Tremanta! The exploration & world building Aveline has done in this series should be studied for how good it is. I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again: I love these aliens so much and I can’t wait to get to know Fejo more in the next installment!!
