When Haru Was Here
by Dustin Thao
DID NOT FINISH
DNF @ 115 pg / 30ish%
I could not get into this, I hated the hallucinations of Haru (yes, it was obvious, and I hated it), and I could not get into the writing style (it was all short sentences, which made it super choppy and hard to really get immersed in). I liked Eric's interactions with Jasmine, and the 'back then' summer day with Haru, but beyond those few scenes, I was just passively listening to the audiobook and not caring about anyone.
I intentionally spoiled the ending for myself and I'm so glad I decided not to press on. So sad, as I was really looking forward to reading this one after loving You've Reached Sam
