It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover

This is some of the worst writing I’ve ever forced myself through in my life. If you told me that a boy-crazy 15-year-old girl had written this for Seventeen Magazine, I would believe you.

There’s obviously an audience for this caricature-charactered, grammatically erroneous, hideously corny kind of drivel. If you thought [b:Twilight|41865|Twilight (The Twilight Saga, #1)|Stephenie Meyer|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1361039443l/41865._SY75_.jpg|3212258] or [b:Fifty Shades of Grey|10818853|Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1)|E.L. It ain’t mine by a long shot.

Did the author do any research at ALL before sitting down to write this nonsense? Has she never spoken to an actual surgeon, restaurant owner, or rich person in her life? Did she even bother to look at a map of Boston? I pray to god Ellen DeGeneres never reads this book, because she’d probably be mortified.

I almost gave this 2 stars, because there are some decent observations about the mindset of DV victims and perpetrators, which the author obviously used personal experience to create. But I’m sorry (not sorry), but the writing and storytelling are just so atrocious that nothing can make up for that.

Good grief. My brain is in physical pain after finishing this book.
