Paris: The Memoir by Paris Hilton
5.0
challenging emotional informative fast-paced

I am blown away by this memoir. I devoured it.
Obviously I, like many many millennials, know who Paris Hilton is. I can still hear that baby voice.  But my perception of her is permanently altered because of this autobiography. She is definitely privileged, which she acknowledges. And has made some dubious decisions, which she also acknowledges. But I never knew what she went through and what an accomplished business woman she is. She shared so vulnerably about experiences of deep pain and abuse. So much trauma affected her choices. Plus, I feel like I understand ADHD way better.

Trigger warnings… she shared about some tough tough things… but with a lot of compassion.

I also didn’t know how involved she is as an advocate for survivors of residential treatment programs within the “Troubled Teen Industry.” She herself is one as well. Very impressive work.
