Rick Riordan is my comfort author, and (maybe I should be embarrassed to admit this since he does technically write children's books) one of my favourite authors. I loved his books as a kid and read the first Trials of Apollo book as soon as it came out. I was a FAN. But then I gave them a break for a while and ended came back to this series a couple of years ago, after rereading the first installment. Recently, I fancied a good old comfort book and I immediately thought of Rick Riordan, and since I've only read books 2 through to 5 once (as opposed to having reread the rest of his body of work numerous times) I thought it would be fun to give them a reread, and it certainly was. I recommend all of this author's work to literally anyone. He is so incredibly entertaining, and emotional.
