This is the second book of Abby’s that I’ve read. She is a very funny writer and creates awesome character banter. The leading man, Justin, is incredibly lovable whereas the leading woman, Emma, has many flaws. At times it made her hard to like but there’s a lot of character growth and a twist towards the end that I definitely hadn’t predicted. Her friend Maddy is also sometimes unlikable but overall a good friend and necessary character.
Graphic: Child abuse, Abandonment
Moderate: Mental illness, Panic attacks/disorders, Toxic relationship
Minor: Domestic abuse, Emotional abuse, Death of parent
