The kids and I eagerly anticipated this new story from Walliams, but we were disappointed, and not because our expectations were too high. This book seemed very wordy, and could have done with a good edit, and snappier action. The realtionship between the boy and his Grandpa was sweet, and the escape from the nursing home was good, but in general the story seemed to drag, and we made ourselves finish it, rather than devouring it like the other ones.
