Slightly better than the previous installment.

While it offers up some touching and powerful moments, The Prisoner of Azkaban still suffers from the whole "let's magic away all our problems" situation.

Now, the way Harry and Hermione solve the problems at the end is foreshadowed a bit more throughout the book, and really it's done in a very clever way, but these books always wrap up a little too tidily for my taste. It seems as though, no matter how dire the situation seems, there's nothing a little magic can't handle. I mean, don't the bad guys have access to powerful magic too?? It seems like only the kids get the cool toys.

I know I'm being a bit harsh, since it is a kid's book and all, but you'd think Snape would have loads of trinkets hidden away that are at least as powerful as the invisibility cloak...
