The Flatshare
by Beth O'Leary
It’s very difficult to find a book that handles the dual POV trope very well..but this one handled it perfectly. Leon and Tiffy each had their own unique voices and thought patterns and it made it really easy to separate the two POVs. This book also did such a graceful job at handling the subject of emotional abuse. It’s not an easy topic to talk about, but you can tell the author understands the mental and physical turmoil of someone who has been in an emotionally abusive relationship. I especially liked that it wasn’t something that her love interest could just kiss away or that was settled after one hour of counseling. Truly brilliant.
