“We’re what they write poems about”
What a beautiful conclusion to BJ and Magnolia 🥺
The process through grief was beautifully done. Grief from death and a loss of who you were with them. The daddy issues hit my deep in the gut😭

“Even if {her father} became the absolute and irrefutable best father in the world in the next day and a half, I'm twenty-five. I don't need a father now, I needed him when I was seven and twelve and fifteen and seventeen, and now I'm grown and I don't need him at all, except in all the ways that are too late.
And that's not to say there isn't still some sort of mournful anguish in me, because there is—I don't know what for though?— for a want I've had forever that will lie dormant and unmet from now on until I die?” OUCH
