I would give this book 4 stars purely for the refreshing storyline, but thankfully I liked much more than that. The paranormal elements in this book were created with imagination, thoughtfulness, and care. Both Tucker and Angel are interesting characters and the side characters are wonderful too! This is how you do supporting characters. This is how you write a ghost story. I was also very pleased with Amy Lane's writing. Her prose was a head above what I'd consider "typical romance novel writing." The quality writing was key to propping up and fleshing out the imaginative world that she created. I'm so happy to have experienced a refreshing, compelling read!
