Radical Hope: Letters of Love and Dissent in Dangerous Times by

5.0

Books containing essays and short letters like this I will always have a soft spot for. I love reading a multitude of authors experiences, feelings, emotions, and frustrations in one book, especially when it is regarding one specific event or topic. It makes it feel more real, thorough and important by adding many voices to the mix. Everyone has their own unique, important world views and experiences and I think it’s important to display that in books like these. The authors in this particular book were so honest, raw, engaging and emotional when describing their first feelings when Donald Trump took office; they describe their fears, their struggles, their sadness and above all, their radical hope for the future. It was such a powerful amalgamation of significant voices and their refusal to lose hope & love in times of strife and difficulty. I learned a lot in this book, and I am so grateful for these authors to have shared their stories.
