Capturing the Devil
by Kerri Maniscalco
There will be lots of spoilers in this review. So starting off I would like to say that it was a mistake to read this during my exam week because By the time I got to reading I only had a couple working brain cells. And I was very emotional while reading this. I was twice as nervous and twice as happy. It enhanced my reading experience in a way. There was a lot of fluff in the beginning and Thomas was saying all the right things. Audrey Rose's Grandmother was an amazing character. I loved reading about her. The wedding was devastating, I was so excited for it. But everything went horribly wrong. I hate Miss Whitehall and Thomas's father for doing this. I was happy that they were able to get away. The heartbreak was written very well. I felt all the despair they felt. The mystery was phenomenal once again. I had no idea who the killer was. I once again suspected the American Boy Noah and I was once again wrong. I guess I don't trust nice people in this series, lol. I loved how the author referenced previous books in the series and expanded on them. Learning more about what went down was interesting and I loved every part of it. When Thomas and her Uncle were poisoned, I was barely hanging on. The author had the power to shatter my heart and I will be grateful forever that she didn't. Audrey Rose's Grandmother saved the day by using her high contacts to get the union between Audrey Rose and Thomas become real and binding. I love this series with all my heart and I am glad that it got a happy ending. I am so sad that it is over but at least it ended well.
