Leviathan
by Jack Campbell
A step up from the previous book. Good story arc wrap-up. Not going to say much more to avoid spoilers.
I will say that a lot of stuff in this and the previous book were telegraphed well in advance. I knew what was going to turn out to be a big reveal at least several pages early, in one or two cases basically as soon as a scene started I pretty much knew where this was heading. In some cases due to stuff mentioned in previous books. Some concepts are introduced with a heavy hand, bad enough that as soon as I read it, I think "plot point, this will be relevant eventually."
But anyway it doesn't matter, this is space opera and is more than a little corny, but it's almost supposed to be like that, and it's fun.
