3.5 stars and here is why:
The premise of the book is an amazing idea the actual book has some issues. The fmc and the mmc had a moment 8 years ago....the moment slipped by and then shit went down that turned their desire into 'hatred'. But in reality their hatred was more toward themselves than toward each other but they couldn't communicate that in a healthy way. I have read my share of dark romances where the love is unhealthy but you go into those know the love is going to be the unhealthy touch her and d*e kind. This however seemed like it was going to be a fun adventure/love story... however both characters needed to work on themselves first after the dig and then maybe reunite. The way they constantly belittle each other as a 'banter' is not cute. But over all the book was a quick read and not the worst thing I have read.
