Starting to realise that I really enjoy books about corporate girlies trying (and failing spectacularly) to get their shit together. The office satire was good, premise was great and pleasantly well executed, and all the secondary characters were insufferable (apart from Cliff) until suddenly they weren't because we understood their motivations and home lives. Jolene's ability to make only bad decisions led to some very humorous and nail biting moments and really drove the plot in the first half of the book. These moments were what made the story so compelling, so when things shifted gear in the final third, the story lost momentum and some of its intrigue. But, ultimately, the ending was relaxing and I'm happy she managed to turn her life around.
