I don't think I was a fan of the fact that this was written in second person. It just kept throwing me off, and kind of made all of the narrators blur together. For me, it also made it harder to follow the action that was happening. 

The story itself was definitely engaging, and the concept and the way magic was used was fascinating. I didn't realize it was a sort of retelling until the end, which is kind of cool. All in all, this was just an okay read for me.
