The Burnout by Sophie Kinsella
4.0

I picked this up at the airport because it sounded fun. To think that Sasha was my age, going through similar turmoils that I’m going through too. I think it came along at just the right time, and has honestly helped me breathe a little easier with my own “burnout.” It’s a slow read, definitely not something that’s going to pick up pace. But it’s a nice read, and a good story for those of us who needed to be reminded to breathe again. I won’t be trying to join a convent anytime soon, but she gave me hope that everything is going to turn out all right in the end. To “go get it.”

“When my baskets full, I survey it with a kind of pride. Not many people would call a Tesco online basket a thing of beauty, but right now, this is all part of my new life. Where I look after myself. Where I value myself. And it looks beautiful to me.”
