This almost got a 4. I loved the majority of this book---I loved that Lena was slowly becoming stronger, I loved the back and forth between Now and Then, I loved that her role was to be a spy. There were a few snags---not a whole lot of secondary character depth (I barely cared when Blue died), I don't understand exactly HOW Lena, Raven, and Tack managed to get into the city, etc. But I liked it. And then another boy appeared and the book became alllll about Lena falling in love with him and then boom, the ending happened, which I expected the whole time because LENA NEVER ACTUALLY SAW ALEX DIE SO OF COURSE HE'S GOING TO POP UP.
