Ina May's Guide to Childbirth: Updated With New Material
by Ina May Gaskin
I am so very glad to have finally started reading this book. The first person birth stories are amazing and empowering and they make me feel excited and far less afraid afraid of the birthing process. Sure, some of these accounts take on a pretty seriously hippie perspective, but I'll take that perspective over the fear based, pain avoidance, medical intervention happy perspective that I'm finding in a lot of other literature. This book is reminding me to trust my body and know that I am capable of having a beautiful natural birth experience.
