Radio Silence by Alice Oseman
4.0
A very sweet read. I found the climax a bit silly and the ending a bit cheesy but the way it talked about fandom culture was very accurate and its take on the pressures of the school system was very relatable. I loved the focus on the friendship between the main characters. It's not often that you get to see that.
The way the author dealt with sexuality and race seemed slightly... tokenistic? Like I understand wanting that to not be the focus of the story but you can't just tack something on to a character's bio and be done with it. It will obviously affect their life and the way the characters around them treat them. However this wasn't too obvious of a problem and didn't hinder my enjoyment of the book too much
