i’m not sure that Rickman’s diaries were ever meant to be read, and given the statement in the introduction, neither were the editors sure. this makes the whole situation wholly uncomfortable for me. how are we to know if Alan would’ve wanted this? simply put, we can’t know the answer to that, and reading anyway feels yucky to me.
