Pestilence by Laura Thalassa

5.0

No because where do I even START ?! First of all, this was the first book by Laura Thalassa that I've read, and she has quickly become one of my favorites. I plan on reading everything this author has written. I am a massive fan of all things Revelations, apocalypse, and horror. If it has darker biblical themes, please SIGN ME UP.

Overall, I gave this book 4.5 stars. It was a rollercoaster of emotions for me, I loved every single interaction between Sara and Pestilence, which is where the high rating comes from. The plot itself is okay, pretty repetitive storyline... but I enjoyed the slow burn enemies to lovers too much to even care.

Word of warning this is a true enemies to lovers book. If you're not up for some dark and violent themes -- stay away. It's also important to view Pestilence for exactly what he is, a force of nature with a divine mission -- not a mortal man with morals.

Pestilence is not the type of love interest I usually fall for, but his character growth was so endearing I could not help myself. Laura, you have done the unthinkable and put a blonde love interest in my top 5.

This book is not perfect and you may find it lacking in certain areas, but I cannot bring myself to give it a lower rating. I enjoyed the ride way too much. ALSO, I appreciated getting multiple spicy scenes, this book made sure I was fed lmfao.
