So You Want to Talk About Race
by Ijeoma Oluo
This was a really good read and really readable. Rather than preaching anti-racism from an academic or ‘teacherly’ point of view, Oluo illustrates racism through experiences from her personal life, and in that sense it almost reads like a memoir. Oluo's stories are heartfelt and illuminating, and they offer many opportunities for the reader's 'reality checks' of their own behavior as well as many teachable examples.
