T. Kingfisher brings gothic horror to a new generation in this retelling of The Fall of the House of Usher.

I strapped in for 5 audiobook hours and found myself listening to Avi Roque (squeal) narrate this macabre tale set in one of those little European countries writers like to invent. You may suspect the source of the Usher's madness early on, but even so I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled to the last page.

Excellently paced, perfectly dark, expertly treated. Cannot wait for book two next spring.
