What a book! Disarmingly honest and brutally thoughtful in its dissection of love, Shon holds our collective subliminal views on love up, asks us who benefits, how we got here, why socially we feel this way, and how we can move beyond certain levels of power and “success” in love and lean towards a more open, unconditional love for our community, for the people around us - not because we benefit, the state benefits, capitalism or our society benefits - but because they are people who also deserve love.
