I think the series should have ended with the previous book, The Iron Queen, as that was a fantastic book. This one - not so much.
Despite this, I did enjoy the story, but something just wasn't right for me in their journey to the end of the world. The trials that Ash has to go through are great, but I have so many questions prior to reading....
Nonetheless, it's a fine ending to an okay series. I'll probably be rereading it in a couple of years as I did really like the world building :). And the third book.
