Contagion

Though derivative of Aliens and zombie stories, I still enjoyed this fast-moving story. Main character Thea intrigued me, showing resilience in what started as a tough situation and kept getting worse. She’s left in a bad place, along with Coen, at the end, with Nova’s situation uncertain as well.
This was a tense story, with probably more adversity and dire things to come in book two for the remaining members of what was to have been a rescue mission to Alchys. More vomit zombies to come? Sorry, wrong story, and this is another example of what was going though my head while reading this book; hence what I meant by derivative. But that aside, I’m reading the second part of this duology because sometimes I’m not looking for innovative or unusual, and just want something fun.
