I did like this book but I still prefer The Sundown Motel. I find that book more creepy. I wouldn't say it's not creepy but somehow it didn't freak me out despite being a horror. The feeling was of reading a murder mystery and not a horror murder mystery.
But, the characters in this one will take a higher stand. Another thing I loved about this book is that most of the heavy work is done by women. Men takes a step back in this book. I was so thankful that no men came as the knight in shining armour, which in turn made them more desirable and lovable.
Though I don't know what's confusing me but there're some questions in my mind I'm unable to put into words.
The characters are complicated or messed up it's hard to understand them. Most of the time i would love to connect with the characters but in this one everybody is so not relatable for me.
