Letters to the Pianist by S.D. Mayes
5.0

S.D. Mayes did a wonderful job writing this book. She drew me in with the details of events that happened during that time period. This book is chalked full of courage, love, and terror. Ruth, Gabi, and Hannah being ripped from their parents after being bombed during the war, had to endure thinking that both parents were going. Their father not remembering anything assuming another life with people who despise him but through it all love and courage over came all. This book was well written and everything flowed together with a happy ending. I highly recommend this book.
