So far I've been pretty lucky with first-reads. This is only my second book I've received from it, but I have loved both. I wouldn't have discovered this without first-reads, so I'm glad I received a copy.
I was quickly sucked into the story, although it took a while to build up intensity it still kept me captivated. I had mixed feelings towards the antagonist, whom at times I liked and sympathized towards, but then at other times I hated him and would be happy when he was dead and gone.
At times I questioned who the "good" people were in the situation. Sometimes it seemed obvious but then something would happen that would make you question it.
