This is a powerful story about a young Syrian boy who is hiding in Belgium after tragically getting separated from his father on their way to Europe. An American boy, spending the year overseas for dad’s work, discovers him living in the wine cellar. There are highs and lows, and I can already think of several kids who would enjoy reading this book at my school. The characters are diverse and multilayered.
