How to Solve Your Own Murder
by Kristen Perrin
mysterious
medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven:
Plot
The more I think about this book, the more I dislike the ending. The premise and setup is so interesting. A race to solve the murder and win inheritance. A fortune that predicts a murder and their murderer. A paranoid murder fanatic that collects town secrets. An estranged great niece destined to find the answers. It was preparing to be a thrilling and twisted story, but it only got less interesting as time went on. The reason behind the murder of one character in the book just doesn't make complete sense to me. There is so much missing explanation that should have been hinted at throughout the story. I don't want to be completely blindsided in a mystery novel. I want to put the pieces together as I go along, just like the main character. I had a fun time with the story but wasn't satisfied by the ending.
