Tuck Everlasting
by Natalie Babbitt
This was my second time reading Tuck Everlasting; the first being fifteen years ago when I was in fourth grade. I knew it was a book that I would read again someday and I think the second time around was a sweeter experience than the first. I think my age gave me the insight to appreciate the novel on a deeper level. The story itself is beautiful and leaves you with things to reflect on, and on top of that, Natalie Babbitt’s writing is absolutely exquisite. She paints scenes in such a poetic nature that had me appreciating little things I hadn’t thought to before. Her descriptions are so artistically driven and at times abstract, yet they are incredibly accurate. An overall lovely book.
